Keeping track of house hunting details can be daunting. Use your cell phone camera and a checklist to make the process much easier!
As you visit each home, take a picture of the front of the house and any additional interesting details as your tour to help remind you of those features that stood out to you (both in a good and bad way!).
Here are some additional comparison notes to keep in mind as you walk thru each property:
Address of the home.
What is the asking price?
How long has it been on the market?
What are the Annual Taxes?
What about HOA fees, if any? What does the HOA include?
What year was the home built?
What is the square footage of the house?
Do you like the style of the home? What style is it (Ranch, 2-story, multi-level, etc.)?
# of bedrooms?
# of bathrooms?
What size is the garage (1-car, 2-car, 3-car...)?
Does the garage have additional storage available? Extra wide? Extra deep? Overhead storage?
What features stand out about the kitchen?
* Type of flooring (hardwood, tile, linoleum, other)
* Does it have a gas stove or glass top range? Is this important to you?
* What appliances are included? Are they in good condition? Are they the color you would prefer?
What features stand out about the family room, living room, dining room, bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.?
What kind of flooring is in the house? What is the condition of the flooring?
Does the house have air conditioning or evaporative cooler?
Is there a patio/deck? Is it in good shape?
What kind of landscaping? Is it in good shape?
Is the yard fenced in? Are there restrictions in the neighborhood on the type of fence you can have?
